The picturesque town of Norwich, Vermont lies on the western bank of the Connecticut River, which forms Vermont's boundary with New Hampshire, and is connected to Hanover, its companion town on the opposite bank, by the Ledyard Bridge.

The town centers on a classic New England Village Green where you will find a historic bandstand and the Marion Cross Elementary School, recognized in 2023 as one of the top 10 public elementary schools in the US. In the commercial center of the village is Dan and Whit’s, a traditional general store but also community hub and compass. Next door is the Norwich Inn, boutique hotel and home to Jasper Murdock’s brewpub. Additional local attractions include the Montshire Museum of Science (beloved by children and their parents on both sides of the river,) the nationally renowned King Arthur Baking Company, and the year-round Norwich Farmer’s Market.

Norwich maintains one of the few interstate public school systems, the Dresden School District, which is shared by the towns of Norwich and Hanover, NH. Students attend Marion Cross School in Norwich for K - 6th grade, Richmond Middle School in Hanover for grades 7 and 8, and Hanover High School in Hanover for grades 9 - 12.
